Galahitiyawa Central College is situated at Ganemulla town in Gampaha District, Western Province of Sri Lanka. Galahitiyawa Central School was inaugurated in May 1944. It was one of the original 54 Central Schools established by Dr. C.W.W.Kannangara, the then Minister of Education, in the implementation of his free education scheme. Since 1944 the college produced thousands and thousands of pupils who are the proud sons and daughters of Sri Lanka who have domiciled in various countries.

The Past Pupils’ Association was inaugurated in the year 1968 with fifteen past pupils has grown up to thousands past pupil members up to now and serve their alma mater in different ways from all over the world.
